Where we stayed
A small ranch cottage outside Fredericksburg. Quiet, walkable to nothing, which was the point.

Breakfast tacos twice, a long patio lunch, and one genuinely excellent dinner we booked a month out.
The itinerary
Friday
Arrive late, unpack slowly, sit outside.
Saturday
Morning market, an afternoon swim, an early dinner.
Sunday
Coffee, one last drive through the back roads, home before nap time.
What I would change
Nothing, except staying one more night.
